The Boarding House

The Boarding House is an integral part of Beaudesert. We offer weekly and flexi-boarding, with the flexi option being very popular with children and parents alike.

Children may start boarding from Year 4, and by Year 8 most boys and girls will have usually had some boarding experience prior to moving to their senior schools.  Over the course of any given school year, approximately 150 girls and boys will have been a Beaudesert boarder.

The Boarding House sits upstairs in the School’s main building. Girls and boys dorms are located on separate floors, with stunning vistas of Nailsworth valley. The boys’ dorms (newly renovated in 2021) span the length of the Boarding House in a series of interconnected rooms, while the girls’ dorms comprise of several large rooms with five or six beds in each.

Oli and Debbie Jones took over the Boarding House with their son Toby and Sprocker Spaniel, Monty, in September 2022. Oli teaches Maths and English to Year 5 and 6 children, along with Games, and Debbie works in the Pre-Prep when she is not in the Boarding House. Oli and Debbie have worked and lived in both boys’ and girls’ houses in their previous roles, where Oli was also a Day Housemaster. Do feel free to get in touch with Oli and Debbie.

Oli and Debbie are assisted by an able team of matrons and two qualified nurses who keep a friendly watch over the children and keep the Boarding House spick and span. A team of evening duty staff also run activities for the children, as well as supervising spaces for children that would like some ‘time out’ after a busy school day.
